Professional Engineering Consultants (PEC) is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector in Lawrence, KS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting and reporting on various civil construction projects to ensure compliance with regulations and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect a range of construction projects including civil, municipal, structural, and environmental disciplines.
• Review and interpret construction drawings and perform necessary checks.
• Attend meetings, respond to queries, and recommend changes to ensure compliance.
• Prepare inspection reports, track contractor activities, and conduct final inspections.
• Maintain professional relationships with team members and external stakeholders.
• Conduct materials testing in the field as required.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of construction inspection experience.
• Knowledge of civil construction methods, safety regulations, and inspection procedures.
• Certifications such as KDOT Inspection and ACI are preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and technical skills.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and travel for projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction-related software.
• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license required.
