Job Description: Director of Finance

Chaminade Resort, a prestigious hotel in Santa Cruz, California, is seeking a highly qualified Director of Finance to oversee and manage all financial aspects of hotel operations. This leadership role involves developing and implementing financial strategies, analyzing operations data, and ensuring financial objectives are met while maintaining quality and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage cash flow and communicate financial issues to management.
• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting with department managers and the Executive Team.
• Analyze financial data to advise management on financial objectives.
• Establish and audit internal financial controls and procedures.
• Prepare financial reports and provide insights for revenue generation and cost control.
• Collaborate with department heads to implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Maintain relationships with external stakeholders and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance; MBA preferred.
• Strong financial leadership, decision-making, and knowledge of budgeting and cost control.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
