Job Description

We are looking for a highly responsible Emergency Management Coordinator to join the team at Clear Creek County, Colorado. In this role, you will be instrumental in the administration of the Emergency Management Department, ensuring effective coordination, planning, and response in times of emergency or disaster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing, reviewing, and updating emergency policies and plans
  • Coordinating emergency operations and conducting training exercises
  • Collaborating with various agencies and organizations for emergency preparedness
  • Managing the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and overseeing emergency responses
  • Facilitating public information dissemination and recovery efforts

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or High School Diploma with minimum 4 years experience in emergency management
  • Certifications: ICS-100, 200, 700, 800, HSEEP, FEMA Professional Development Series, CPR, ICS 460, and additional certifications preferred
  • Special Requirements: Colorado Driver's License, pass background checks, legal authorization to work in the US, ability to work irregular hours

Skills and Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of emergency management principles and operations
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficient in EOC management, grant administration, and budget management
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-stress situations
  • Physical requirements: ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions

This position involves working in an office setting and potential exposure to emergency conditions, loud noises, and challenging weather conditions.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $26.51-$33.14 per hour.
