Job Description

The University of Toledo Physicians is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support and assist providers within the clinic setting. The LPN will play a crucial role in implementing the delivery of health care services, maintaining a positive patient experience, and collaborating with the healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Perform clinical procedures under the supervision of a physician or healthcare provider.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, measure vital signs, and document patient information accurately.
• Communicate instructions to patients clearly and professionally.
• Maintain medical supplies and instruments in exam rooms.
• Handle phone calls, messages, and patient inquiries efficiently.
• Assist with specialty duties such as EKG testing, minor surgical assists, and infection control measures.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent. Graduate/Diploma from an accredited LPN Program.
• State of Ohio License Practical Nurse and CPR/BLS Certification.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and computer literacy.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of patient privacy and clinical care compliance.
