Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Homewood Suites Glen Allen. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the physical structure of our hotel, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our guests.

Job Functions

• Perform minor and routine maintenance activities including painting, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Replace air-conditioner filters and maintain heating and cooling systems.
• Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance procedures and record-keeping.
• Ensure the overall quality and appearance of the hotel's interior and exterior.
• Inspect and repair guest room equipment and address any maintenance issues promptly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of hotel maintenance experience.
• Technical skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with brand systems.

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing for long hours, manual dexterity, lifting up to 25 pounds, and good visual and communication abilities.
