Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Manager Infection Control to be part of our team at Kettering Health Network. As the Infection Control Officer, you will lead the implementation of effective policies and procedures to prevent disease transmission among patients and staff. Your role involves conducting research, developing protocols, and monitoring compliance with infection prevention standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Infection Control Officer, overseeing the implementation of infection prevention policies.
• Conduct scientific research to recommend and implement procedures for sterilization, disinfection, and decontamination.
• Provide guidance to the facility’s Infection Prevention and Control team for managing disease spread.
• Develop and implement infection surveillance, prevention, and control policies in adherence to national guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in healthcare.
• Certification in Infection Prevention and Control required within 18 months of hire.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

• Requires travel to network facilities for rounds and process improvement projects.
• Fast-paced environment with juggling multiple projects.
• Frequent use of computer systems for data review and development of action plans.
• Active participation in meetings and support for patient care areas.
