Store Operations Assistant

As a Store Operations Assistant at Aldi, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer shopping experience by ensuring the store is well-organized, stocked, and providing exceptional customer service. This full-time position offers an average of 32-40 hours per week with a starting wage of $16.50 per hour.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Consistently demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with their shopping experience
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor inventory accuracy
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
• Comply with company policies while ensuring security and confidentiality

Physical Demands

• Stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and perform general cleaning duties
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
• Safely operate equipment and follow company policies
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Stay organized, detail-oriented, follow instructions, and multi-task effectively
• Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
