Job Description
We are looking for a motivated 1st Shift Warehouse Package Handler to join the dynamic team at Aldi. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for efficiently handling incoming stock, organizing merchandise, preparing shipments, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Select and receive incoming stock to fulfill store orders efficiently.
- Relocate merchandise following product handling guidelines.
- Sort, load, and unload merchandise in preparation for shipment.
- Perform general cleaning duties and participate in warehouse inventory counts.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with peers, suppliers, and warehouse leadership.
- Provide input to improve warehouse processes.
- Inspect product quality, safety, and sanitation issues.
- Assist in achieving budgeted goals and follow company policies and procedures.
- Operate equipment safely and notify management of any issues.
Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older to be employed at Aldi.
- Ability to work conscientiously, collaborate with the team, demonstrate a positive attitude, drive for success, and organize tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and work independently or in a team environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and move products weighing up to 45 pounds, operate powered industrial equipment.
- Stand, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, and walk throughout the warehouse.
- Work in varying temperatures and environments.
