Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team at Bmore Technology in a part-time role. As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our management team and ensuring accurate financial operations. This position requires approximately 16 hours per week and offers an opportunity to contribute to essential financial tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices, match purchase orders, and manage accounts payable and receivable tasks.
  • Maintain the general ledger by posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and updating financial records.
  • Enter financial transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO) with precision and maintain proper documentation.
  • Reconcile bank statements, monitor transactions, and assist with cash flow management.
  • Review and verify employee expense reports, process reimbursements, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Assist with financial analysis, budget preparation, and reporting tasks to support management decisions.
  • Maintain organized financial records, provide support for audits, and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Update and reconcile vendor licenses purchased from multiple vendors and manage sales tax submissions.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and ability to research software application issues.
  • Ability to handle confidential company information with discretion and trust.
  • High school diploma required; Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
