Job Description
Discover Financial Services is seeking an Application Engineer to join their Finance Corporate Services team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain complex data solutions and play a key role in mentoring peers to achieve quality commitments. This position offers the opportunity to showcase strategic leadership, proactive issue mitigation, and technical expertise within the Discover ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Creates solutions for high-impact technology and business priorities.
- Demonstrates leadership and technology vision integrated with Discover.
- Identifies and mitigates issues, coaches the team, and fosters collaborative relationships.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Agile software development methodology, ETL data integration solutions, relational databases, and cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in AbInitio, SQL, Unix Scripting, Maestro/Control-M, AWS, and other modern tools.

Compensation
Base pay ranges between $86,500.00 to $146,100.00 with additional incentives.
