Job Description
We are looking for an Application Engineer (ServiceNow) to join Discover Financial Services, a leading digital banking and payments company. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will partner with enterprise-wide teams to develop and maintain software systems at scale. You will participate in the Agile Way of Working, configure solutions within ServiceNow, and contribute to defining strategic product roadmaps. In this role, you will analyze, design, program, test, and deploy new features to production, while actively engaging in continuous learning and professional development. As part of the ServiceNow Chapter, you will collaborate with other engineers to enhance your skills and contribute to various product teams within Discover.
Responsibilities
- Develop and configure solutions within ServiceNow in alignment with Agile principles.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and define strategic product roadmaps.
- Engage in continuous professional education and technology communities at Discover.
- Analyze, design, program, test, and deploy new features to production.
- Guide and mentor Associate Application Engineers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
- Internal applicants must demonstrate technical proficiency on the Dreyfus engineering scale.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ServiceNow capabilities and integrations.
- ServiceNow certifications and knowledge of React, Redux, and Java frameworks.
- Experience in building secure web applications and software testing methodologies.

Compensation
The base pay ranges from $86,500 to $146,100, with additional incentives based on factors like experience, education, and location.
