Assistant General Manager

Job Description

We are currently seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our team at Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway. In this role, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee and coordinate all operational activities at the hotel. The Assistant General Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the satisfaction of guests, employees, and owners while maintaining the highest standards of service and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in daily operations and strategic planning.
• Supervise department heads and monitor performance to uphold hotel policies and procedures.
• Provide training to staff and department heads to enhance overall efficiency.
• Act as the hotel's representative in the industry, local community, and trade associations.
• Respond to guest feedback and ensure excellent guest experiences.
• Participate in the selection and onboarding of new staff members.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, regulations, and service standards.
• Contribute to business planning and assist in key property issues.
• Available 24/7 to address guest or employee emergencies.
• Perform regular property inspections and audits to maintain high standards.
• Build strong relationships with staff and departments to maximize operational effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in hotel management or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with 3-4 years as an Assistant General Manager.
• Strong management skills with the ability to delegate effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management software.
• Available to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
