Job Description
We are hiring a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician C to join our team at Southeastern Freight Lines, Inc. As a vital part of our operations, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment used for freight transportation. This includes single and tandem axle diesel over-the-road and city tractors, diesel city straight trucks, and propane and diesel-powered industrial forklifts.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, and maintain a range of equipment to meet service schedules and customer commitments.
- Troubleshoot and analyze failures in trucks, tractors, converter gear, and forklifts.
- Address mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or other breakdowns efficiently.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks and perform necessary system repairs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- At least 6 months of related experience and/or training.
- Ability to pass background checks, alcohol, and drug tests.
- Preferably experienced in Diesel Engine Repair, Automotive Diagnostics, and ASE Certification.
Salary and Hours
Pay: $28.80 - $35.80 per hour.
Job Type: Full-Time.
Work Shift: Third Shift.
