Job Description
We are looking for an Energy Development Manager, Grid Analytics at Amazon Data Services, Inc. This role involves leading transmission planning activities to support renewable energy projects and power supply opportunities for existing and future AWS data centers. The ideal candidate will manage a portfolio of power flow and transmission studies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to decarbonizing data center energy use.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and influence transmission planning models for Amazon’s growth plans.
- Aggregate datasets to provide insights on renewable energy and load capacity planning.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate transmission constraints.
- Conduct power flow studies to explore alternative solutions for energy decarbonization.
- Conduct due diligence assessments on power connection options for proposed projects.
- Manage consultants and contractual documents related to projects.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience.
- Knowledge of best practices and technologies related to infrastructure.
- Experience in varying scenarios of infrastructure builds.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years in Transmission planning and Generation Interconnection studies.
