Estimator

Job Description

We are looking to add an experienced Estimator to our estimating team at APX Construction Group LLC. As an Estimator, you will collaborate with Project Teams, Sub-Contractors, and Sales to determine project time frames, labor, material, and budget requirements. You will be responsible for creating and analyzing cost estimates, managing project costs, and maintaining effective communication with internal and external team members.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to complete estimates within designated time frames, budget, and scope.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and scope of work to determine project costs.
• Work with contractors to ensure competitive pricing and material availability.
• Analyze project risks, conduct cost comparisons, and identify cost-saving strategies.
• Participate in bid review meetings and provide insights for enhancing bid competitiveness.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, staying updated on industry trends and market conditions.

Requirements

• 2-year degree in Construction Management, Accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years of estimating and procurement management experience.
• 2 years of experience as a Project Manager in Commercial Construction (preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of commercial construction industry practices and materials.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple project bids simultaneously and collaborate effectively.
