Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Expert Vulnerability Analyst to join Discover Financial Services in the Third Party Vendor Risk Management team. As the Lead Vulnerability Analyst, you will play a key role in driving DFS Cybersecurity compliance and vulnerability management strategies, ensuring the resilience of next-generation systems and contributing to executive decision-making processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise in third-party cybersecurity risk programs and to excel as a leader in the field.

Responsibilities

• Advise upper management on cybersecurity matters and provide guidance to Cybersecurity architects.
• Direct security solutions in alignment with business risk and regulatory requirements.
• Define strategic direction, develop cyber solutions and threat intelligence workflows.
• Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and legal requirements.
• Manage the life cycle of cyber findings and facilitate permanent remediation.
• Mentor and lead the team in delivering risk-based security assessments.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years in core third-party vendor risk management with leadership experience.
• Knowledge of industry cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST, PCI-DSS.
• GIAC, CISSP, or CISM certifications.
