Facilities Equipment Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Facilities Equipment Engineer to join Middle River Aerostructure Systems in Baltimore, MD. As part of our team, you will be responsible for managing industrial equipment availability, maintaining critical spares, and ensuring equipment uptime through strategic coordination and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Support and update equipment listings to maximize uptime.
• Define and secure critical spares to support production equipment demands.
• Maintain levels of equipment spares considering lead times and component criticality.
• Track and manage purchase orders and spare parts inventory.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and support teams for efficient operations.
• Drive equipment checks, maintenance schedules, and calibration activities.
• Assist in budgeting, cost savings identification, and predictive maintenance techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and VBA scripting.
• Knowledge of CNC and Robotic equipment components.
• Ability to read OEM drawings, BOM, and Electrical Schematics.

Desired Characteristics

• Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Inventory Management.
• Skills in Mechanical and Electrical Drawing interpretation, CAD design, and Additive Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Facility Mechanical and Electrical Systems, Machine Design, and laser alignment techniques.
• Collaborative and detail-oriented approach to maintenance tasks.
