Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day store activities, ensuring store performance, and leading a team of employees to success. Your responsibilities will include developing action plans, communicating job expectations, training and developing team members, and maintaining store standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement action plans to enhance store operations.
- Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members.
- Identify training opportunities to improve team performance.
- Understand company strategy and foster teamwork among employees.
- Monitor the competitive environment and recommend adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
- Participate in the interviewing process for hiring.
- Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies.
- Resolve operational customer concerns and maintain store equipment.
- Merchandise products to maximize sales and ensure product quality.
- Supervise team operations and escalate issues when necessary.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stock merchandise and perform physical tasks throughout the store.
- Regularly required to carry out various physical activities.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement of 18.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience in managing personnel and operations.
- Familiarity with retail policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in budgeting and personnel management.
- Operational knowledge of handling equipment and cash registers.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 3+ years of retail experience.
- Prior management experience is a plus.
