Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of our Rooms, Spa, and Cottages at Kiwanda Hospitality Group. This position involves managing various aspects of the properties, including Sales and Marketing, Revenue Management, Team Recruitment, and Expense Management. The General Manager will play a key role in ensuring that the company's mission statement and core values are upheld across all operations. This position reports to the Director of Lodging and requires a collaborative approach in developing and executing business plans and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Rooms, Restaurant, and Spa operations.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of excellent guest experiences in line with brand standards.
  • Develop innovative strategies for property growth and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Establish a culture of excellence and exceptional service within the team.
  • Create and enforce SOPs to maintain quality and service standards.
  • Manage financial aspects such as budgets, forecasts, and P&L statements.
  • Independently oversee operations while effectively communicating progress.
  • Maximize profitability through revenue strategies.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on room promotions and sales.
  • Oversee the Kiwanda Cottages Homeowners’ Association and ensure owner satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, and retain top talent within the team.
  • Build relationships with local businesses and sister properties.
  • Contribute to and execute business plans to meet and exceed goals.
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards and regulations.
  • Establish effective security procedures for staff, customers, and assets.
  • Manage vendor relationships and enhance guest experiences through operational excellence.

Preferred Skills

  • 3-5 years of full-service hotel or resort management experience.
  • Creativity, passion, and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities.
  • Proficiency in front office software and hotel reservation systems.
  • 2-year college degree or higher preferred.
  • Valid Food Handlers Card, CPR, and First Aid certifications required.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
