Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Human Resources Representative to join our team at Porter Medical Center. In this role, you will play a key part in handling various HR functions, from onboarding new employees to maintaining employee records and coordinating HR programs. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and HR expertise will be crucial to ensuring smooth HR operations within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming HR phone calls, directing inquiries appropriately.
  • Facilitate new employee onboarding processes, including I-9 documentation and badge issuance.
  • Maintain and organize employee files in Workday and physical formats.
  • Handle transactional requests within the HRIS platform.
  • Develop and enforce HR workflow procedures.
  • Assist employees with various forms and requests.
  • Respond promptly to employment verifications and other HR-related inquiries.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for Traveler onboarding and manage related processes.
  • Manage employee injury reports and ensure timely filing.
  • Coordinate with VT Department of Labor for New Hire data submissions.
  • Prepare bills, oversee invoices, and manage payment processes.
  • Organize meeting agendas, conference rooms, and logistics for departmental events.
  • Produce reports and statistical data using HRIS systems.
  • Participate in departmental projects and initiatives.
  • Coordinate and execute special HR functions and projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience in HR or healthcare operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS systems like Workday is a plus.
  • SHRM-CP certification is desirable.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with tact and discretion.
