Infection Control Nurse -- LPN/LVN

Job Description

Genesis HealthCare is seeking an Infection Control Nurse, LPN/LVN, to join our clinical team. In this role, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to oversee the Infection Prevention and Control Program for one or multiple centers. Your responsibilities will include implementing and monitoring infection control activities, managing outbreaks, and educating staff on prevention practices. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the center's Infection Prevention and Control Program.
• Conduct surveillance for infection control.
• Manage outbreaks and implement control measures.
• Educate and train staff on proper infection prevention procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with LPN/LVN licensure.
• Specialized training in infection prevention and control.
• Minimum three years of nursing experience, with two years in long-term care.
• Prior experience in infection prevention and control is preferred.
