Job Description
We are hiring a Lead Machinist to join our team at Middle River Aerostructure Systems. As a Lead Machinist, you will work in a dynamic machine shop environment, creating precision components for prototype, development, and production projects. Your responsibilities will include programming, operating, and troubleshooting multi-axis CNC and manual milling and turning equipment, as well as providing technical expertise and training to other machinists.
Responsibilities
- Program, operate, and troubleshoot CNC and manual milling and turning equipment.
- Create setup sheets and develop work holding methodology for machining projects.
- Lead and train other machinists on complex job assignments.
- Collaborate with team leaders to ensure technical, schedule, cost, quality, and safety requirements are met.
Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED Equivalent with technical training or significant industry experience.
- Experience with a variety of materials including plastics, composites, and metals.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM programming and operating machine shop equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
