Job Description
POAH Communities, an organization committed to community development and affordable rental housing, is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced individual to join as a Maintenance Technician. The role involves ensuring a safe and well-maintained living environment for residents, conducting routine maintenance tasks, and adhering to relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and comfort of residents, visitors, and staff by maintaining the property.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and address any unsafe conditions promptly.
- Coordinate and complete make-ready repairs and services.
- Assist with keeping the grounds clean and tidy.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in apartment maintenance.
- High School diploma or GED required; HVAC certification preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and automobile insurance.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
- Physical ability to lift/carry heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
