Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Manager of Finance to join Gastroenterology Associates of the Piedmont. In this role, you will collaborate with the CEO and practice leadership to ensure the financial well-being of the organization and oversee ancillary services financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage the financial aspects of the practice and monitor ancillary services.
- Liaise between functional areas and leadership, accounting entities, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
- Produce timely and accurate financial reports according to accounting standards.
- Conduct financial analysis for strategic initiatives, emphasizing revenue streams, investments, pricing, and contracts.
- Monitor financial activities daily, generate key performance indicators, and report financial results periodically.
- Participate in setting the organization's vision, objectives, and policies.
- Direct accounting, budgeting, and audit controls to mitigate risk.
- Identify cost-effective solutions based on financial and industry trends.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software and accounting programs.
- Advanced Excel skills, experience with Crystal reports and SQL queries preferred.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in AR, AP, payroll, and familiarity with Epic software desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, CPA or MBA preferred.
- Ten years or more of relevant experience, ideally in healthcare.
- CMPE or FACMPE certification advantageous.
- Previous experience in medical finance beneficial.
Physical Requirements
- Sedentary work involving prolonged computer use.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
- Travel as required.
