Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Manager of Finance to join Gastroenterology Associates of the Piedmont. In this role, you will collaborate with the CEO and practice leadership to ensure the financial well-being of the organization and oversee ancillary services financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the financial aspects of the practice and monitor ancillary services.
  • Liaise between functional areas and leadership, accounting entities, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
  • Produce timely and accurate financial reports according to accounting standards.
  • Conduct financial analysis for strategic initiatives, emphasizing revenue streams, investments, pricing, and contracts.
  • Monitor financial activities daily, generate key performance indicators, and report financial results periodically.
  • Participate in setting the organization's vision, objectives, and policies.
  • Direct accounting, budgeting, and audit controls to mitigate risk.
  • Identify cost-effective solutions based on financial and industry trends.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software and accounting programs.
  • Advanced Excel skills, experience with Crystal reports and SQL queries preferred.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in AR, AP, payroll, and familiarity with Epic software desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Ten years or more of relevant experience, ideally in healthcare.
  • CMPE or FACMPE certification advantageous.
  • Previous experience in medical finance beneficial.

Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary work involving prolonged computer use.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Travel as required.
