Job Description

We are seeking a Maritime Scheduler to join our team at Marine Hydraulics International, LLC. As a Scheduler, you will be responsible for preparing detailed production schedules, updating ship repair schedules, and providing progress reports. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a logical Work Breakdown Structure for schedule development.
  • Integrate work from multiple parties into an Integrated Production Schedule.
  • Resource load production schedule based on Work Item estimates.
  • Update schedules to reflect contract changes and project progress.
  • Identify errors and conflicts in data, recommending resolutions to avoid delays.
  • Prepare and present weekly schedule status reports.
  • Participate in project meetings and critical path analysis.
  • Assist in exploring 'what-if' scenarios and provide feedback on project impacts.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Two years of project planning and management experience or completion of Scheduler-In-Training program at MHI.
  • Prior experience in shipyard, industrial, or construction industry is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Working Conditions

This on-site position involves working in an office environment with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions. Duties may include sitting for long periods, lifting up to 25 lbs., and other physical tasks. The role requires good motor coordination, basic arithmetic skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Compensation

Salary Range: $58,000 - $74,000 yearly
