Material Handler

Job Description

Slumberland Furniture is currently seeking Full-time Material Handlers to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and distribution of merchandise within our warehouse. Primary Objective & Scope of Position

This position entails storing, moving, and distributing products while demonstrating leadership by providing training to other team members. The role involves optimizing space efficiency, managing merchandise flow using a point of sale (POS) system, and ensuring accuracy in customer orders and records.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently move and condense merchandise in the warehouse for space optimization.
• Transport merchandise to and from the show floor for storage, delivery, or customer pickup.
• Utilize the POS system to manage merchandise flow and maintain accurate records.
• Inspect, tag, and process incoming merchandise; assemble and wrap outgoing merchandise.
• Provide training to other team members and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or currently working towards).
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge required.
