Job Description
Slumberland Furniture is currently seeking motivated Warehouse Workers with Forklift Operations experience to join our team. This full-time position offers competitive pay starting at $17 per hour.
Primary Objective & Scope of Position
This role focuses on merchandise movement tasks, including storing, moving, and distributing products within the warehouse. Additionally, the position involves providing training to other employees and maintaining a high level of efficiency.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities
- Move and rearrange merchandise to optimize space utilization.
- Handle merchandise transfers to and from the show floor, ensuring proper display and storing.
- Utilize the point of sale system to manage inventory flow accurately.
- Ensure precision in customer orders and system records.
- Receive incoming shipments and prepare outgoing merchandise for deliveries.
Furthermore, responsibilities include providing training to colleagues, delivering outstanding customer service, adhering to safety practices, and engaging in general maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with tools and hardware.
- Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge necessary.
- Point of Sale (POS) system knowledge is advantageous.
