Material Handler

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the movement and distribution of merchandise, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in our warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Move and organize merchandise to optimize space utilization within the warehouse.
• Handle the movement of merchandise to and from the show floor, including packing, assembly, and preparation for delivery.
• Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system to manage inventory and track merchandise flow.
• Ensure accuracy in customer orders and maintain precise records in the system.
• Lead by example and provide training to other warehouse employees.
• Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and vendors to uphold exceptional customer service standards.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by promptly resolving discrepancies and keeping management informed.
• Adhere to safety protocols, operate equipment safely, and contribute to maintaining a secure and organized warehouse environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or currently working towards one.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge required.
• Experience with POS systems is desirable.
