Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer proficient in Solidworks to join our team at Konecranes Nuclear Equip and Services LLC in Matteson, IL. As a crucial member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing cranes, material handling equipment, and mechanical drive systems using Solidworks. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Design cranes, material handling equipment, and mechanical drive systems using Solidworks.
- Develop Bills of Materials (BOM) for mechanical designs.
- Annotate drawings with relevant symbols and signs for clarity.
- Collaborate with other disciplines for turn-key projects.
- Perform design changes for modernization projects.
- Provide technical support to installation crew and customers.
- Optimize crane components to enhance cost-efficiency and delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Solidworks or Pro-E.
- Knowledge of ASME, AISC, and CMAA.
- Detail-oriented with strong leadership and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including nuclear power plants.
