Mechanic/Technician Apprentice (Meadowbrook)

Job Description

We are looking for a diligent Mechanic/Technician Apprentice to join the Utah Transit Authority team based in Meadowbrook. As an apprentice, you will participate in technical instruction, attend classroom sessions, and demonstrate competence in various modules including Preventative Maintenance, Electrical, Brakes, and more. You will work under supervision to perform manual tasks, assist in repairs, and conduct preventative maintenance inspections. This is a competency-based program where you can develop essential skills and advance your career in the transportation industry.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have or be able to acquire a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement.
• Additional qualifications required, such as a 2-year degree in a related field, military MOS, technical school experience, or UTA experience.

Shift & Pay Rate

Shift timing: 3:00 pm to 1:30 am with Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday off (shift subject to change). The pay rate ranges from $25.33 to $29.33 per hour plus applicable shift differentials. The wage progresses over four years with additional increments.
