Job Title: Mechanic/Technician Apprentice (Meadowbrook)

We are currently looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Mechanic/Technician Apprentices at Utah Transit Authority. As an apprentice, you will participate in technical instruction and attend classroom sessions to develop essential skills in maintenance and repair of transit vehicles. This competency-based program focuses on modules including Preventative Maintenance, Electrical, Brakes, Air Systems, and more. You will work under supervision to assist with manual tasks, complex repairs, and preventative maintenance inspections as part of your learning experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to obtain a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement within 60 days.
• Completion of aptitude and standardized tests determined by UTA.
• Possession of required tools.
• Education and experience requirements include a 2-year degree, military MOS, technical school + experience, or UTA experience.

Shift

9:00 pm to 7:30 am with Sunday/Monday/Tuesday off. (Subject to change)

Compensation

Pay Rate: $25.33 - $29.33 per hour with additional shift differentials. Wage progression over the four-year program.
