Merchandise Handler - No Weekends

Job Description

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Merchandise Handlers at Slumberland Furniture. As a Merchandise Handler, you will play a crucial role in the movement, storage, and distribution of products within our warehouse. This position offers a competitive starting salary of $17 per hour, with a Monday to Friday schedule starting at 7:00 am. No weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently move and organize merchandise within the warehouse to maximize space utilization.
• Handle the movement of products to and from the show floor, ensuring proper display or storage for delivery.
• Utilize the point of sale system to manage inventory flow accurately.
• Inspect, receive, and process incoming merchandise, as well as assemble and prepare outgoing products for shipment.
• Provide training to other employees and lead by example in work ethic and practices.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating professionally and ensuring inventory accuracy.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following safety protocols and guidelines.
• Assist with ground and building maintenance tasks as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, with basic math skills.
• Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge are required.
• Experience with point of sale systems is desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing tasks.
