Merchandise Handler - Overtime Available

Job Description

We are looking for dedicated Warehouse Workers with experience in Forklift Operations to join our team at Slumberland Furniture. As a Merchandise Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently moving, storing, and distributing products within our warehouse. This role involves maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately, and providing training to other team members.

Primary Objective & Scope of Position:

• Perform merchandise movement operations to optimize space efficiency.
• Handle incoming and outgoing merchandise for storage, delivery, or shipment.
• Utilize point of sale system for inventory management.
• Lead by example and instruct other employees when necessary.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or working towards a GED.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of tools, hardware components, and product assembly.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge.

Other Responsibilities:

• Ensure inventory accuracy and handle any discrepancies.
• Practice safety protocols to prevent damage and maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist with grounds and building maintenance tasks.
