Job Description

We are looking for an Operations Supervisor I to join our team at ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, in Denver, CO. As an Operations Supervisor I, you will play a crucial role in planning, supervising, and controlling resources to ensure the safe and efficient loading/unloading of freight on assigned shifts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for timely and safe loading/unloading of freight.
• Maintain load plans and ensure proper load balance for safe operation.
• Assign tasks, coordinate work assignments, and monitor performance.
• Provide training, feedback, and disciplinary recommendations.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all personnel and customers.
• Promote safe handling, loading, unloading, and storage of hazardous materials.
• Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate in a team setting to achieve department goals.

• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in Service Center, transportation, or related fields preferred.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Good knowledge of freight, imports, exports, and proper handling techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
