Join the Wilmington Eye team as an Optical Technician, where you can utilize your optical experience to provide exceptional service to our patients. Your role will involve measuring, fitting, and dispensing eyewear while ensuring the highest quality vision care for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients with enthusiasm and urgency.
• Measure, fit, and customize glasses, performing minor repairs as needed.
• Use specialized tools to verify and inspect eyewear.
• Provide comprehensive eyewear explanations to patients, maximizing sales through understanding their needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized dispensary while ensuring the security of company assets.
• Resolve patient issues promptly, anticipate problems, and partner with management for solutions.
• Explain insurance and vision plan benefits to patients accurately.
• Participate in staff meetings and product trainings regularly.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of optical experience and retail optical experience.
• Proficient in computer skills and following procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and maintain high productivity.
• Willingness to travel to different locations as required.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods.
