Job Description

We are looking for a talented Principal Data Science professional to join Discover Financial Services. As a key member of the analytics team, you will work closely with management on analytical initiatives, providing thought leadership and strategic thinking. Your responsibilities will include leveraging advanced analytics techniques, monitoring performance metrics, and managing risks effectively. You will lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics, deliver presentations to leadership, and automate reports for insightful decision-making. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-functionally, continuously improve processes, and maintain high-quality work standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Credit Risk, Fraud Risk, Marketing Analytics, Optimization, Operations Analytics, Modeling/Data Science, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Credit Risk, Fraud Risk, Marketing Analytics, Optimization, Operations Analytics, Modeling/Data Science, or related field.

Compensation:

Base salary ranges between $126,500.00 to $177,300.00. Additional incentives may be offered based on factors such as experience, education, and skills.
