Principal Release Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Principal Release Manager to join Discover Financial Services. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Release Management life cycle, coordinating releases across the Agile Release Train (ART), and recommending tools and services to facilitate product management and deployment processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams.
• Plan release windows and cycles, resolving issues affecting scope, schedule, and quality.
• Conduct Release Readiness reviews and coordinate Go-Live activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience in Software Release Management or related field.
• Experience in DevOps/Automation or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong accountability and progression of the release process.
• Implementation and validation plan development.
• Coordination of several application teams within a twice-monthly release schedule.
