Job Description

As a Registered Nurse II in the 8W Neuro Acute Care unit at the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA), you will deliver individualized, goal-directed patient care utilizing the nursing process. This role involves working with adult and geriatric patients with general surgery and neuroscience needs, including strokes, brain tumors, and spine surgeries. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent patient care following nursing guidelines.
• Interact with healthcare team members to achieve desired outcomes.
• Manage a diverse patient population with varying medical needs.
• Adhere to policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience as a registered nurse.
• Licensure by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Physical and Mental Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform various physical activities while providing patient care. Candidates must demonstrate the capability to handle stressful situations and work rotating shifts.
