Job Description

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician or Senior Veterinary Assistant to join our Surgery team at SAGE San Francisco, a part of Ethos Veterinary Health. Responsibilities

  • Prepare surgical suites and equipment for procedures.
  • Assist with anesthesia management and monitor vital signs during surgeries.
  • Provide surgical assistance and maintain aseptic techniques.
  • Monitor postoperative care, administer medication, and maintain detailed records.
  • Handle radiography and imaging, ensuring proper patient positioning.
  • Maintain equipment by cleaning, sterilizing, and performing maintenance.
  • Communicate with clients regarding postoperative care and surgical updates.
  • Assist in emergency surgeries and administer emergency medications as needed.

Basic Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Active CA-RVT license preferred.
  • At least 3+ years of clinical and surgical experience in a Specialty Practice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to monitor anesthesia.
  • California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit required within 60 days of hire.

Work Schedule

  • Full-Time position.
  • 4/10 Schedule, working Monday-Thursday.
