Resident Monitor-Security - (2nd Shift) Glover House

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Resident Monitor-Security (2nd Shift) to join our team at Glover House, a part of Wisconsin Community Services. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and monitoring adult male ex-offenders in a correctional residential setting and the community during the second shift. Your duties will include ensuring the safety, security, and compliance of all residents, conducting surveillance activities, documenting incidents, and maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor residents in various areas of the facility.
• Enforce house rules and security measures.
• Prepare and maintain accurate reports and documentation.
• Motivate residents to follow program expectations using positive reinforcement.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior work experience in corrections or related fields preferred.
• Clear background and drug screening.
• Valid driver's license.
• Good communication and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 facility.
• Physical fitness to meet demands of the job.

Working Conditions

This role involves working in an adult correctional halfway house setting which operates round the clock, requiring mobility, alertness, and the ability to respond to emergencies swiftly.

Physical Demands

The position requires mobility throughout the facility, ability to climb stairs, and lift weights up to 50lbs. First Aid, CPR, and emergency evacuation capabilities are essential.
