Job Description
Discover Financial Services is seeking a talented Senior Associate Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. As a crucial member of our technology department, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of critical applications, such as our Card and Bank websites and mobile application.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Application Development teams and other SREs to build observability.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and dashboards.
- Automate operational processes.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in Information Technology or Software Engineering.
- Internal applicants must have a technical proficiency rating of an advanced beginner.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience as an SRE.
- Knowledge of hybrid infrastructure, specifically with AWS.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Go, Java, etc.
- Experience with container technology (openshift, Kubernetes) and automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
- Expertise in observability tools (APM, synthetic monitoring, log aggregation) and dashboarding tools (Grafana, Kibana).

Compensation
Base pay ranges from $71,500.00 to $121,100.00 with additional incentives based on experience, location, and skill level.
