Senior Insurance Follow Up Specialist

Job Description

The University of Toledo Physicians is looking for a Senior Insurance Follow Up Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will drive resolution, enhance the patient experience, and ensure compliance with code of conduct while maintaining peak performance in revenue cycle outcomes. As a subject matter expert, you will play a key role in resolving outstanding account balances and interacting with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Document all responses and actions taken for claim resolution.
• Exhibit strong communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Follow workflow processes for correct registration, coding, and payment posting.
• Manage claims effectively to meet productivity standards.
• Recognize trends and implement measures to increase cash collections.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in resolving insurance denials and revenue cycle.
• Basic understanding of insurance requirements, regulations, and medical terminology.
• Proficiency in data entry, computers, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of CPT and ICD terminology.
• Familiarity with billing software.
• EPIC experience.
