Job Description

We are hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. This role focuses on implementing cryptography at scale to ensure the security of millions of customer data on web services. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will work on building and maintaining secure, open source encryption tools and libraries to protect sensitive data in the cloud.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography.
• Operate globally distributed servers and customers for AWS business.
• Develop foundational libraries using C and Rust for highly secure services.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience in leading design or architecture of new systems.
• Background as a mentor or tech lead.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
