Job Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will work on building and maintaining secure, open source encryption tools and libraries to protect sensitive data for AWS customers. Your role will involve owning the software development lifecycle, designing scalable systems, and delivering secure software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography.
- Operate globally distributed servers and deliver foundational libraries using C and Rust.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and security specialists to support cryptographic tools and libraries.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in programming with at least one software programming language and leading design of systems.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
