Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. This role involves working on open source encryption tools and libraries to ensure the security and privacy of our customers' data across AWS services.
Responsibilities
- Lead the software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, including feature definition, design, testing, and implementation.
- Operate AWS servers globally to support secure and reliable services.
- Build foundational libraries using C and Rust for enhanced security measures.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience in software programming and system design.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or in a leadership role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Full software development life cycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Compensation
The base pay for this position ranges from $134,500/year to $261,500/year based on geographic markets and candidate qualifications. Additional benefits such as equity, sign-on bonuses, and comprehensive medical and financial packages are provided.
