Job Description
The Server is the key Associate in delivering the Silver Diner brand to our guests. You are responsible for providing Silver Diner hospitality to our guests, generating sales, delivering food & beverage orders, and properly handling POS functions.
Responsibilities
- Ensure each guest receives outstanding service, including greeting every guest within 30 seconds of being seated.
- Suggestively sell to every guest and ensure orders are 100% correct.
- Accurately account for all guests at your tables when ringing in POS.
- Deliver guest checks promptly and maintain a clean station stocked to Silver Diner standards.
- Work as part of a team, communicating clearly and constructively.
Brand Delivery
- Maintain a positive, fun-oriented attitude and adhere to uniform standards.
- Know and ensure delivery of the Silver Diner Brand.
Cost Balancing
- Properly account for all sales and handle cash accurately.
- Properly portion self-service items.
Performance Measures
- Positive sales growth and high guest satisfaction.
- Develop strong relationships with guests.
Requirements
- 1-2 years experience as a Server or Bartender preferred.
- Exceptional aptitude for Guest Service and excellent communication skills.
- Contagiously friendly, outgoing, and energetic.
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
The work area includes various elements like food, refrigeration, and high temperatures. Stamina, physical agility, and ability to lift/move items are essential.
Weekend and holiday availability is required for this role.
Previous experience in the restaurant industry is a plus.
