Skilled Trades Instructor-BCT Building Construction Technology

Job Description

HBI is seeking a Skilled Trades Instructor for BCT Building Construction Technology who will be responsible for demonstrating proper techniques, safety, and detail in trade skills through hands-on training and classroom instruction. The Instructor will develop curriculum, coordinate hands-on training activities, and provide student development and placement assistance. Classroom management, student recruitment, and employer relationship development are also key responsibilities of this role.

Responsibilities

• Instruct program participants in trade skills using approved curriculum.
• Develop curriculum and supporting training materials as needed.
• Coordinate hands-on training activities including on-site and community-based projects.
• Assist with student recruitment, placement, and employability training.
• Foster positive working relationships with funders, program partners, and personnel.
• Perform various administrative and reporting functions as required.

Requirements

• Ability to meet Career Technical Training requirements, including a High School Diploma or equivalent and/or any combination of work, education and/or skills equivalent to Journey-level experience in the relevant trade - Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing or HVAC.
