Job Description
Join our team at Slumberland Furniture as a Senior Merchandise Handler. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for the movement and organization of merchandise, ensuring efficient storage and delivery processes. This role involves training other employees, maintaining inventory accuracy, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Move and organize merchandise within storage locations to optimize space.
- Handle the shipment, packaging, and display of merchandise with precision.
- Utilize the point of sale (POS) system to manage inventory flow.
- Train and support other team members in warehouse operations.
- Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and vendors to ensure exceptional service.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following safety guidelines and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or working towards completion).
- Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware assembly.
- Valid driver's license and basic computer proficiency.
- Experience with point of sale (POS) systems is advantageous.
