Sr Merchandise Handler

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Merchandise Handler to join Slumberland Furniture's warehouse team. As a vital part of the operations, you will be responsible for efficiently handling merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory management, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Move and organize merchandise for optimal space utilization.
• Transfer merchandise to and from the show floor, ensuring proper display and storage.
• Utilize the POS system to manage inventory flow accurately.
• Inspect, receive, and process incoming merchandise; prepare outgoing items for delivery.
• Provide training to fellow employees and lead by example.
• Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and colleagues to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to safety policies, practice safe behaviors, and uphold risk reduction procedures.
• Contribute to a safe and organized work environment through proper equipment handling and maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; basic math skills.
• Knowledge of tools, hardware, and product assembly.
• Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge required.
• Experience with POS systems is desirable.
