staff - Registered Nurse (RN) - Stroke - $32-52 per hour

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on Stroke care to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is a full-time Staff position with flexible shifts and ongoing duration, totaling 36 hours per week.

Overview

Join our extraordinary team at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center specializing in Inpatient Rehabilitation Nursing. Our Stroke certified rehabilitation program focuses on patients with various neurological diagnoses, including Strokes, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, and brain injuries.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, ensuring safe and therapeutic care in line with established standards.
• Assess patient needs, plan and implement interventions, involve patients and families in the care process, and maintain therapeutic relationships throughout.
• Coordinate discharge planning using an interdisciplinary approach, apply evidence-based practice, and ensure patient safety.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, attend educational programs, and contribute to personal and professional development.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license in the practicing state and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Completion of an accredited Nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in holistic patient care, clinical decision-making, communication, and collaboration.
